wild wise projects

Wild Wise works to help to reduce human-wildlife conflicts through public education. Our goal is to learn as much as possible about local wildlife sightings and interactions within our community. 


Here are the current and ongoing projects that we are involved in:

  • Public education on how to properly manage wildlife attractants 

  • Placement of signage in wildlife hotspots: bear in area & wildife crossing signs

  • Living with Wolves Initiative

  • Seal haul out project

  • Purple martin nest box construction 

  • Bat box construction

  • In-school educational program 

  • Wild Wise courses and life-long learning sessions

  • Fairs and festivals and public presentations 

  • Fruit exchange (fall)

  • Media articles and social media initiatives
